Frequently asked questions

Why choose us?

We are fully insured, registered with local Environmental Health and we have completed hygiene and allergen training. We will deliver the food to you, set everything up using our beautiful vintage crockery, and then take everything away afterwards - you don't need to wash up! We are committed to providing excellent customer service to make your occasion special.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options are available. If you have any other requests please contact us to discuss your requirements. If you require allergen information then please ask.

What do you provide?

We provide all food, tea and coffee, crockery, cutlery and napkins.

​

What do I need to provide?

We will need access to electricity, a kettle and drinking water. We will normally set up all the food and leave you to make the tea when you are ready.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the county of Cambridgeshire. This includes Peterborough, Wisbech, Whittlesey, March, Ramsey, Chatteris, Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives, Cambridge, St Neots and surrounding villages,  If you are outside of Cambridgeshire then please contact us, we may be able to provide your afternoon tea but an additional delivery charge will be applied.

 

Is there a suitable outdoor venue I can use?

You can combine your afternoon tea with a visit to The Manor in Hemingford Grey. What could be nicer than enjoying a delicious afternoon tea in beautiful gardens overlooking the river? This is weather dependant so is more suitable for the summer months. For more information please visit the Manor House website. www.greenknowe.co.uk  

 

What type of events do you cater for?

Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals, parties…. in fact any event you can think of.

How many people can you cater for? 

We can cater for up to around 80 people. The minimum order for the full afternoon tea is 4 people, and for the mini afternoon tea it is 8 people.

How much notice do you need?

Ideally we would like to confirm bookings at least 7 days in advance but we may be able to fit you in with less notice, please contact us.

​

When is payment due?

A deposit of £10 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your order. The balance is due 7 days before your event. The total cost is £29 per person for the full afternoon tea and £18 per person for the mini afternoon tea.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel, any payments are non-refundable but your booking may be able to be changed to another date with our agreement. We will only cancel in exceptional circumstances that are beyond our control; if we cancel you can move your booking to another day or we can refund your payments in full.

  

Can I move my afternoon tea to a different date?

Yes you can change dates subject to availability provided you contact us at least 7 days before your scheduled booking.

Do you take orders for corporate events?

Yes we do, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

 

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Yes you can. This is an ideal solution if you want to order an afternoon tea for someone special but you don't know their availability. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months. Please contact us to order one.

How secure is my information?

We use your contact details to communicate with you about your booking. We will never pass your details to anyone else. You are very welcome to sign up to our newsletter, we promise not to bombard you with emails.

How do I book?

Simply click on the 'contact us' button, send an email to info@creamofteas.co.uk or ring or text us on 07712 894364.

How can I pay?

We accept payments by debit/credit card or bank transfer. 

​

What happens next?

We will complete a booking form with all details of your booking and will send it to you for you to check and agree. Once you pay your deposit your booking is confirmed. We will reserve the date for you for 24 hours to allow you time to pay your deposit.
